About us
We are Liv, Aglaja, Mathijs, Malin and Bent - five first-year students at University College Groningen. This website was created as part of our Project Year 1 course, where we worked together on a topic of social relevance.
We chose to focus on ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) because it’s often misunderstood and surrounded by stereotypes. Our goal was to create a resource that gives a more complete and human picture of what ADHD really is - combining medical information, social context, and real-life experiences.
To build this website, we conducted a survey to find out how people think about ADHD, and we interviewed several individuals - including a psychologist and people who live with ADHD themselves. These personal stories helped us better understand the condition beyond the textbook definitions.
Alongside the research-based sections on history, medical aspects, and social impact, we also created a few mini-games that simulate what it can feel like to live with ADHD. These are meant to give visitors a more interactive and relatable experience.
We don’t claim to be experts, but we’ve done our best to present what we’ve learned in a way that’s clear, respectful, and engaging. Thanks for taking the time to visit our site - we hope you find it helpful.
